We have moved since then but still reside in Sydney ‘south’ of Sydney harbour, in the inner west. Perhaps we should be called ‘Sydneyside Marketing Solutions’ but we kind of liked the name as it was. | | | |
| | | Why did you introduce another Marketing site - isn’t there enough of them already?Yes, there are lots of marketing sites, and we know because we read nearly all of them (at least the good ones anyway). However, it still seems to us, that there really isn’t anything exactly right for what small business needs. We want to deliver the most useful marketing website that anyone in small business can access. | | | |
| | | What’s different then about your website?We have tried to meet the needs of small business owners who commonly struggle for things such as time to read, time to do planning, spare cash to invest in marketing expert information and advice, and limited availability during normal working hours.
So our products and services have been designed to address these issues by:
- Providing articles, books and tools with lots of practical advice,
examples and tips. - Providing advice that’s been gleaned from all the marketing experts across the industry, so you don’t have to read them all – we have already done this for you! And we aim to deliver this advice in the easiest way possible for you to digest it and then use it!
- Providing Marketing Consulting help in a time-effective format such as Marketing E-Advisor and Marketing Advisor Hotline. Both can be used when it’s convenient for you, the small business owner.
- Providing How-to-Guides, Seminars and other resources that aren’t difficult to understand, don’t take too much time and don’t cost the earth!
And Southside Marketing Solutions is not just a website. Sure we provide newsletters, articles, tools and online advice. | | | Why do you sell other people’s products on your website?We sell other products to small businesses that we think they may use or find helpful. After having set up a few of our own websites and implemented email campaigns etc, we have gone through some of the hoops that hopefully will save you time by passing on that experience.
Yes, we do make some money out of selling as an affiliate but that is one of the benefits that websites offer, in addition to providing all the other services and information as above. We hope you get in this position too where you want to start making money in other ways from your website.
We only sell what we have already used ourselves or know from credible sources that a product is worth recommending. It won’t help any of us if you buy a product that doesn’t suit your needs.

 | Five basic tips on ‘How to succeed online’: - Have a solid plan before you start: draw up a site map showing all levels and links planned.
- Make sure you can reach anywhere in the site in 3 clicks or less.
- Make sure each of your pages are fast loading i.e. take 3 secs or less.
- Put critical information on the front page-don't make it hard to find.
- Make your design easy on the eye and easy to read by picking the right fonts. Basic fonts are the best!
